Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) process standardized in Poland
In July, the Polish Committee for Standardization adopted the international standard ISO 14034: 2016 Environmental management - Environmental technology verification (ETV) as Polish Norm.
The ISO 14034:2016 standard, published in November 2016, is the first international technical standard ensuring a harmonized approach to confirming the performance of environmental technologies. It takes into account their technical efficiency as well as their innovation and environmental benefits that result from their use. The aim of standardizing the ETV process is to facilitate a global recognition of the Statements of Verification and thus help build credibility of information on the performance of innovative environmental technologies to create a level play field for ecoinnovations on domestic and foreign markets.
In July this year The Polish Committee for Standardization has adopted the international standard ISO 14034:2016 Environmental management - Environmental technology verification (ETV) as a national standard.
JWTŚ-IETU has already obtained accreditation to perform ETV of innovative environmental technologies in water and wastewater sector in accordance to the ISO 14034 standardized process.
